Please contact us for hourly rates with one of our in-house engineers.

For freelance engineers: Please contact us to arrange a lockout.

NOTE to bands: If you are bringing your own engineer, rather than working with one of us, the studio charges a flat fee per day. This is the cost for the use of the studio only. The engineer will probably have their own fees in addition, which they will bill separately for. Each day booked requires a $75 deposit beforehand.

If you are interested in booking the studio as a freelance engineer please contact us. If you haven't rented the space previously, we need to determine your proficiency and trustworthiness before we will rent out the space to you. Part of what this entails is for one of us to be in the studio with you for at least 4 hours on your first day of recording. This is to give us the chance to show you the studio, how it works, its idiosyncracies, and to provide you with an opportunity to ask questions and get accustomed to the space with one of us present.

Payment and Cancellations

We generally accept cash or check. Credit card payment is available through Paypal.
For Paypal payments, please use this email address: paypal (at) typefoundrystudio.com. to cover the transaction fees for Paypal, we require an additional 3% added to your total.

We are often very busy and last minute cancellations can be a huge inconvenience for our scheduling. For this reason there is a $75 per day cancellation fee if the session is cancelled within 2 weeks of the scheduled date.
